Took my cat as we thought he had a urine infection on the Friday night the vet was really good with him and he left happy even after having his jags. I was asked to bring him back in on the Saturday morning with a urine sample and that's all the instructions I was given. I return on the Saturday with my cat and the sample to be asked if I had kept it in the fridge I explain no I wasn't asked to do this to which a different vet stated that "you would have been told" and continued to state 4 times "you still need to pay" in quite an aggressive tone I explain that "I would still pay and I had no idea where she got the idea that I wouldn't pay from" she continued to be quite rude and the cat left really distressed and unhappy this time we collected a prescription for his antibiotics and I paid 30.50 just for the consultation about his urine and 55 in total. I left unhappy and got home with my cat. I read the instructions on his medication and the directions on them were completely different than the instructions she had given to me in person by this time the vet was closed so I had to call the out of hours vet to be told that she had put the wrong date on them and my cat still has these drugs in his system so not to start his prescription til the day after the date labelled which again I was very annoyed about as I could have gave him too much medication due to negligence. I have now to take my cat back to the vet today so this will be his 3rd visit in 4 days and we still are no closer to finding out what is wrong with him! I feel like they are very much all about the money which is devastating as I just want him to receive the best possible care. Instead I feel like to them he's some sort of meal ticketc they don't even care enough to get his medication right
I'm solely basing this review on the woman who appears to be the manager Aileen or Eileen I think her name is. She has the most cheeky patronising bored manner about her + when I came in with my dog I asked how it was all going in there new location + she snorted "yes" without another word. I feel she really let's the place down with her cheek + rudeness, disgraceful giving she is higher up than the other friendly girls who cannot do enough for you. The vets are amazing too so for they reasons I choose to stay there however this woman needs a bit of training in customer service I think
We have dealt Boyce & Houston for a few years and have always found them to be efficient and friendly. We have great faith in them.
Don't be fooled by the exterior, this is the best vets I have taken my dogs to. Jill's expertise and kindness got my Cocker Spaniel Lucy back to living a happy life again. It was a long road but Jill's care and compassion made it much easier.
